Every engineer who attends a job under our Gas Safe registration is checked first. Send us the documents below and we'll confirm once they're on file. Photos from your phone are fine.

Documents

Clear photos or PDFs. Each file is sent straight to our office and not kept on this website.

Gas Safe ID card - front * A clear photo. We check the registration number and expiry. Gas Safe ID card - back * Shows the appliances and work categories you are registered for. ACS certificates * CCN1, CENWAT and anything else you hold. Add each one. Public liability insurance certificate * Current schedule showing the cover amount and expiry. Driving licence * Front of the photocard. Essential. Passport or other photo ID * For the right-to-work check. Your driving licence alone is not enough. Basic DBS certificate * No more than 12 months old. Apply online at gov.uk if you do not have one - it takes a few minutes and usually arrives within two weeks. Apply for a basic DBS check on gov.uk Photo of your van * Side view. We ask for a clean, unbranded vehicle when you attend our customers. Anything else Unvented, LPG, manufacturer training certificates, references.

Anything we should know? I confirm the documents are mine, current and accurate, and that I'll tell David Osborne Heating if my Gas Safe registration, insurance or ACS status changes.

Sent securely to our office. Used only to verify you for work with us, and handled under our privacy policy.

Why we ask

Gas Safe card, both sides. We check the number against the register and note which categories you're registered for.
ACS certificates. Your card shows categories; the certificates show expiry dates, which we track so nothing lapses mid-contract.
Insurance. You attend homes under our name. We need to know you're covered and when it renews.
Driving licence and photo ID. Right-to-work check, required by law for everyone we engage, and we need to know you can drive to the jobs.
Basic DBS. You will be alone in customers' homes under our name. A basic check is the minimum we can reasonably ask.
Your van. Clean and unbranded. Customers booked us, and a van sign-written for someone else confuses them.
UTR. Type it in - we verify it with HMRC ourselves. So we can pay you correctly and make the right CIS deductions.
